Default Rear upper control arms excessive play?

So I know the check grab the top of the wheel while car is stationary! And give it a tug. Yes I have movement there, but what is classed as the Mot failure excessive play? Where is the line drawn? Can You guys go and check your rear wheels too to see if you have play, or am I just being paranoid? Lol

It will adversely affect the handling long before it becomes an MOT issue - the Vec-C can get to the stage where it handles like a bag of bolts because various bushes are worn, but still pass an MOT. Most people who've replaced the banana bars have done so because the rear doesn't handle correctly, rather than just doing it because the MOT tester failed it.

It is classed as MoT failure where the bush has completely worn or failed
Typically this is where little or no effort is required in order to get a metal to metal noise

worn ones will affect handling and tyre wear so get them changed regardless!

The signum feels shocking right now, when it hits a small bumps on the road the backend skips around, steering feels light untill it all settles down. Bannannananannnana arms? 2006 on 65K miles.

Backend skipping around when hitting bumps could be rear upper control arms (banana arms) but it's more likely to be rear shocks.
