Spirtulism

Been reading through the thread on 'outer body experience' and thought id ask about spiritulism

Its something that im heavily interested in and have been for a few years now after being well and truly converted from extreme sceptic to hardcore 'believer' lol

So is anyone else interested in spiritulism?
Any mediums? anyone also understand spirtulism?
What are peoples thoughts on it?
Sceptics please throw in your opinions to.
Any other relgions agree or disagree???

Christian, and believe in paranormal if you're point is that. Definitely believe there is something beyond this life.

Im not being arrogant but am interested in peoples views when it comes to religion

mediums... im over 20 stone so im a heavy lol but wasnt that sally woman found out to have an earpiece in on stage?

and if they was that good, they'd all be millionaires getting the lottery number from the "other side"

Al: I had a similar view regarding mediums but then i became good mates with a lad named andre (dunno why im telling you his name lol)
He himself is a practicing medium and as he put it to me all these who charge are misguided people (con-artists basically) People who are willing to exploit the vunerable. i.e if you go to them no matter what they tell you you can get your answers from what they say its the whole derren brown mind trick sort of idea.

And what you say about the lottery what i have learnt is that spirits will never tell us anything to influence our decisions

An example is this. If you were told you would win the lottery on monday Your attitude and decisions before monday would be dramtically changed. Therefore your future would change.

I believe that spirits help guide us but will not influence us

Yip don't get me wrong I'm no saint I have many many faults though.

Then that is the great thing about life you can believe what you feel is right - in the sense all humans have the instinct when something is wrong.

I believe in pre ordained events or fate if you like - what is for shall not pass you by. I have had experiences of it and a few of my mates have to.

With respect to something Al said - where I obviously don't share his views fully - he is bang on with mediums - just watch as some will mislead even the good book warns of that. On the lottery note the only reason I can think that mediums - and there are genuine ones btw - don't predict lottery numbers is simply God forbids it.

Anyway that's my speel.

But what or who is God?

Mohammed, Buddah, Noah, Moses, Jesus etc all 'Prophets'
All men who could speak with 'God'
'God' in plenty of descriptions a higher being, a Spirit if you will.
So in theory does this not make all the above merley Mediums? Very good mediums able to communicate the thoughts of a higher being? Mediums who did not exploit there position but used it to portray a message?
