    Default potholes, i hate em

front tyre been goin down over the last couple of days, well took it to a garage today and it was f**ked, must have hit a pothole and it egged the tyre nearly all way round, was proper gutted, so went home, took wheel off car and took a spare tyre i had, well got it back to another garage and my spare was knackerd too,so had to get a part worn(looks new) hankook tyre.
bit gutted that iv'e got one odd tyre now, but thinking off selling wheels anyway

Loads of them round my way. They get filled in but another one starts next to the patch!

Its a flippin joke. The only thing is to try to claim from the council. The more claims the better chance of them actually repairing the holes properly and timeously.
On my way into work, in Edinburgh, there was a pothole on the second roundabout at Sighthill, was there for months getting bigger. Worse part was it was less that 400m from the coucils road dept depot. God knows how many council workers were driving over it every day, thinking "someone else will report that"

yeah potholes are a pain in the rear end i must say

i had to go n buy a brand new set of snowflakes after finding out that
the origional ones were buckled and had cracks in.

i was only getting new tyres fitted but ended up spending 1400 on new
snowflakes and new tyres which i cud done without.

ive had them on 3mths now and have not scuffed any of them yet but
watch me now go n do it after mentioning it

Unfortunately potholes now have to be more than 40mm deep (used to be 25mm) before being repaired.

I found a road defects form on our councils website and reported the potholes on my street through it. A few weeks later I went out and they'd been fixed. Worth a look on your councils website.

when i had the zafira i had the irmscher 18" stilas on and i went round one
of them mini roundabouts that had cobble stones round it but theres was a
part of the roundabout that had sunken cobble stones and had the concrete
edge sticking out with a deep pothole next to it so as i went round it the
alloy hit the hole and scratched it so i took a picture of the roundabout and
then submitted a complaint to wrexham council forwarding along to them
with estimates to replace the alloy, then their insurance company contacted
me to settle the complaint and i got a cheque in the post about a month
later for £490,i just couldnt believe how quick they had sorted it
out, normally they drag their heels for months.
