    Default spring replacement afl light now flashing

    changed 2 rear springs on my vec now my AFL light is flashing do i need to take to stealers for reset ?

    are you sure you didnt damage the load level sensor while fitting the springs ??

    If you don't disconnect the level sensor when you pull the lower arm down you can damage the level sensor.

    Odds on thats exactly whats happened. It happens fairly often when people with afl or xenons lower their cars or change springs. the lower arm drops and snaps the sensor arm off.

    Putting the sensor under to much pressure even if there is no visible damage by not detaching it will damage it internally beyond use.

    so do i need to buy a new sensor then how do i check its been damaged and roughly how much?????

    Have a look at it, it may be very clear it's fubar. Or get the codes read.

    shall try reset the fault 2 moz and see how i go then phone my local friendly vx dealer for price of new one

    problem solved took to local exhaust place put on ramp and found bracket not correct reset to correct position hey presto no more fault light
    cheers for the help
