    Thanks for the feed back
dont really trust a none Vauxhall garage now after trouble at one one and getting ripped of with price etc etc just a cross from where the wife works in wakefield, ive got a good service from the Vauxhall dealers and had no problems, thought it seemed like a good idea having a fixed price for 3 yrs

if your car was still under warranty then i'd agree but surely you know of a local garage who can care for your car at less cost to your wallet !?

Not al vx garages are good, i've had my car serviced at 2 garages the first was a Vauxhall Specialists and used vauxhall parts, they've given me no problems and are very helpful and polite. the 2nd time I used a vx garage and they were useless, didn't stamp my book, put the wrong oil in the car, called it an astra and not a vectra and were overall had very poor customer service.

And they did try to sell me the service plan I thought about it before the service but they made my mind up when i got the car back, so I won't be getting it.

Do it yourself, a quick calculation on cost and I am sure you would be cheaper, plus knowing it was done properly. Make sure you keep the receipts. Also by the time the three years are up service stamps in books will not be so critical as your car would be 9/10 years old and condition and mileage would probably be more important.
That is my opinion no doubt others will disagree.

You need to look at what the service covers.

I've seen a few where they only change the oil and oil filter.

    Everything else is 'checked'

And you have to pay extra for any extra bits that need done after they've been checked.

Some don't even replace spark plugs, pollen filters, fuel filters etc.
