Default New head unit ignition activated?

I have received my new stereo (JVC KD-R521) and installed it however it does not turn on or off with the ignition. I know this is because the standard HU was switched by CANBUS and that i should connect up to the ciggy lighter (12v).

I have swapped the red & yellow wires until the unit worked. The question is on the wiring harness (CT20VX03 Wiring Harness & Aerial Adapter) there are two loose cables. I presume one of these should be connected to the ciggy lighter?

Also do i need a male aerial connector?

Thanks in advance for your help!

I think it's the red power wire that provides constant power and the yellow with the key. The constant gets its feed from the HU loom and the ignition from the cig lighter, if that doesnt work then just swap the red and yellow around at the fuse holders.

The two loose cables are orange and red....I think so anyway as i am slightly colour blind. The other loose cable is a shorter and thicker yellow one with a connector on it, is this the one i wire to the ciggy lighter?

    Thanks again!

    RED is power to ignition,
YELLOW is direct power to battery
    BLACK is ground
Orange (optional) is for dimmer switch
Blue goes to amp and subs if you have them

    Thanks Rushy.

It may be a coincidence but now my cruise control doesnt work!!!!

This has nothing to do with the stereo loom/canbus does it???
