    Default recirculation problems

    on my 06 sri direct I cannot tell if my air recirculation works and the light on the button does not come on, the fan works on all settings and the direction control works when i change it from scrren to all the other settings and the temperature works as well, any ideas

    Simple to check.

    Point the air to the face vents and put the blower on full.

    Press the re-circ button and the airflow and noise from the fan should change.

    If it doesn't, or you can hear clicking noises from behind the glovebox it means the re-circ solenoid has failed. This is fairly common and the new part is about £60 from VX.

    It is on the side of the blower motor assembly and operate a flap above the blower, either drawing air in from the footwell area or through the pollen filter.

    BTW, re-circ doesn;t operate if the air is set all up the windscreen.
