    Default Fuel Economy

For the first time in a while i done the manual test for Fuel economy.

I have covered over 2500 miles since i reset my fuel comp on the display and it was showing 52.3 MPG. For this tank of fuel i have been doing alot of hard driving adjusting the tuning box to find the optimum setting for my car so i only managed 520 miles to the tank

With the fuel i put in the car it made the economy for the "testing" tank to be 40 MPG which is ****ing great considering how hard she has been driven over the last wee bitty.

Is this similar to everyone else with their 1.9 cdti's??

On my last tank, I ran it till the petrol light was flashing b4 i filled up. I hadn't reset the trip comp for a while, so i was ignoring the 42.8mpg it was showing.

I'd done 460 (ish) miles, and it needed 52.5 litres to fill it back up again. Thats 11.55 gallons...apparently.... Table here

So, 460 miles divided by 11.55 gallons makes.......

    39.8 mpg

Not bad, considering there was no real distance driving in that tankful, just bimbling about town and the usual heavy footed run to work (cos i'm ALWAYS running late!!)

I put all my mileage and fuel on spreadsheet, so that I can complain when my miserable employers don't reimburse me enough for fuel.

So far, 5434 miles since the car was delivered at the end of September at a very respectable 45.9 MPG. The second trip BC2 shows 46.2 MPG over the same distance. Initial consumption was 41MPG slowly rising as the engine loosened up.

Good consumption is probably due to wife driving the car as I am frequently overseas. My tank to tank consumption is about 3mpg less than hers

when you fill the tank up and it says the range is over 800miles, then you'll be in my leage. You'll also be anoying everyone with how slow you drive...

best fuel economy since the remap is stil 65mpg and my average is 52mpg.

    I found it here

    http://www.dropbears.com/u/utilities...fficiency.html

    ltr/100km to mpg:

    mpg = 282.608/(ltr/100km)

    mpg to litres/100km:

    ltr/100km = 282.608/mpg

    The oilburner above ca 45 MPG = 282,608/45= 6,28 l/100km

My car towing a caravan at highwayspeed
    14 l/100km = 282,608/14= 20,19 MPG

    Is this correct?
