    Default CD70 won't eject sat-nav disc

    Hi folks,

I am having problems with my CD70, it won't eject the disc that is in it tried pressing the eject button down and wiggling another disc in it which has not worked so far, I have only had the Vectra just over a week, and i just though the car didn't have a disc at all so didn't worry that much.

The car is going to the garage i got it from for a few jobs that they should have sorted out before selling it, so will mention it to them but doubt its going to do anything, its not anything that i think covered by the warranty or sale of goods dispite the fact i was told that everything was fine with the car.

    cheers for any idea,
    mark

Hi mate. I had the same issue after i had tried to update the firmware. The disc would not eject at all. Pull out the unit and unplug the connectors at the back. Give it 5 mins, plug it back in and as it powers up, hit the eject disc whilst it is spinning up.

sounds like the same problem i had with mine the navi just gave up and died i went to vxl and they dont repair them i ended up buying a working unit off the bay and had it re-programmed to the car with tech 2 . To remove the disk i went armed with a couple of torque drives and a set of radio keys ( £3 posted from ebay ) took the unit apart and swapped the drive wire over with the cd then plugged it back in and ejected the disc that way around .

As you have only just bought the car i would fetch it back and tell them to sort it

yes, just insert four thin drivers, or long nails in and then gently ease out the unit.... i did..
also i didnt need the code when i did it this way ( disconnect the power loom from back of unit whils no keys in ignition), but i dont suppose that will be the same for you.
