Default Uprated Diamond clutch this weekend

I'm having a new DMF, slave cylinder and 30% uprated Kevlar clutch this weekend I had shyed away from the Sachs units because they were much more costly and rated for less than I already make unless I go for a paddle and I expect to be close to the limit of that shortly after fitting this new clutch. The Black Diamond units are direct replacements with a cover and friction plate in organic, Kevlar or Padel forms. I don't know how it will drive yet but they suggest it will be very much the same as the standard clutch. I'll have to let it bed in a bit before giving it beans but I'll let people know how it performs as the orgainic 25% uprated units are available for as little as £360, about £150 less than a Sachs unit.

Is there anything uprated on the DMF Karl? Wouldn't that become the achilles heel and start rattling prematurely with the extra oomf that it'll see?

Be good to compare my Sachs uprated clutch with the diamond version.
The price of the diamond one does appear to be good considering I paid about £500 for the Sachs version but then I have had it fitted for a while now.

Do you have a link to the specs of the diamond one?

Peter Griffin: Ah, c'mon, Lois, isn't 'bribe' just another word for 'love'?

The place I bought it from I am not sure I would recomend for reasons I won't go into but the kit that has turned up has a Kevlar pressure plate and new cover plate. The kit available are:

    Orgainic +20-25% £360
    Kevlar +25-30% £460
    Paddle + 30-35% £ Didn't ask

I was not interested in a Paddle clutch as I do have to sit in alot of ques.

I have opted to fit another standard Sachs DMF as the first one has lasted me over 100K. If I have any issues, I'll get a solid unit produced from the old DMF that is coming out.

It is in a box in the garage still

I didn't remove all of the water methanol kit before I took it in, which thinking about it would have been a good idea, so they were not willing to work on it.

So I am still eating the standard clutch at a rate of knotts until I remove the kit or find another fitter. I was going to have a go myself but I don't have an engine support for when the sub frame is removed and I don't have a clutch alignment tool.

Might just Get Vx to fit it for me as they don't care about the fumigation stuff and have all the gear. They Quoted £370 but I would need to get a slave cylinder still which is another £100 by the looks of it.

Mean while I have a 59mm compressor, larger injectors and a cam belt kit with water pump on the way to make me feel better.
