    Default Calling all members with access to TIS

    Would someone with access to TIS, kindly look and see if there is a wiring diagram for the REC on a Vectra estate Design 2006. Particularly the ribbon cables connections for the interior lights.

    there isnt a wiring diagram as such just for the rec,it only shows the ribbon
    plug that were it plugs into the rec,what exactly are wanting to do

    in tis it does show you the wiring diagram circuit of the interior lighing but
    depends wat part.

    the interir lighting is part of the main roof harness but you also have other
    ribbon wiring coming off the main roof harness for other things such as
    bluetooth,park pilot,etc.

    Thanks for the replies guys. I want to check the ribbon cable at the REC, ie, which cable is permanant live, earth and so on. I think maybe the BCM is faulty, so need to check the output at the REC, i think it's the rx7 socket. No work has been carried out on the car, so i am assuming the ribbon cable is ok. Everything on the car works except the interior lights and sunvisor light. They do not operate either by manual switching or when the door is opened, so i figure it's ethier a live feed issue or earth problem.

    Additional, my car has three ribbon cables, one is the interior mirror harness, thats working, one is the interior lights, that's the smaller of the two upper ones and the other upper one has about 8 wires in it, i have no idea what that's for.

    Have you checked for power at the connection on the light itself?

    not yet Lee, this is gonna be my weekend project, intend on checking everything from continuity of the harness, all fuses, REC output and even all the bulbs, i can't see all of them failing at once, but you never know!!

    Update,,, could not get the diffuser off the front interior light, tried prising with a small screwdriver but it seemed that the plastic would crack before it budged, any tips on how to do that? I did manage to remove the rear interior light and it seems there is no live feed to terminal 2, i have permanent negative on terminal one and switched negative on terminal four. I did find a permanent live at the ribbon cables on the REC, but i don't know if this is for the interior lights, hence wiring diagram request.

    Update on update. Just applied power to terminal 2 on the rear light via test probe and all roof lights operated via switches and when door opened, so it is a power supply problem. I am now back to the REC output, once i know which terminal to check for power i can rule out a few things. If power is at the REC then the ribbon between there and the lights is somehow damaged, but if i dont have power at REC, then the likely suspect is the BCM. I have checked all the fuses in the dash fusebox, as i know the battery overload and BCM fuses are in there and all is well, unless there is another fuse somewhere that controls the interior lights.
