I am thinking of claiming , has anyone had any experiance of this and actually won anything ??

my uncle and cousin did it and got a fewgrand back each , your better off making the claim yourself rather than use one of these lawyers you see advertizing all the time because they take a huge chunk if theywin it for you
I would agree with the above post re doing it yourself.I made the mistake of using a claims company a couple of years back,I did get about 4.5k back, but the claims mob took around 1k for their "work".
If you search the web,you will find free template letters that you can use.
You actually have to have been mis-sold PPI as well, you can't just claim them back like you can with bank/credit card charges.
And the bank your with could close your accounts if you claim against them ...
A mate at work got sick fed up of calls from theses PPI recovery people, He finally gave in and said "Go on see what you can get me then" He got a cheque for nearly £3k!! and that was after they took 25% of it too.
i got nearly 3k back in total its worth a try
Hi I got £2150 back from Lloyds I went to Lloyds it took over 12 weeks I was told that if you are self employed you are not covered at all whith ppi only paye are covered
I done this for my wife just a month or so ago. from claiming to recieving the chq was only 2-3 weeks, she didnt even know what ppi was and it made up almost 50% of what she paid back for her loan.
i done the paperwork myself. it was really straight forward. most banks are actually quite helpful about it.
if you like i can send you the letter i wrote.
i have always turned ppi down , told them i dont want it and been shown 2 figures one with ppi and one without , but i did remortgage some years ago and borrowed some more cash , people i been talking to are saying they put it in without you knowing , how can they do that ?
