    Angry Knackered my EGR bolt

Was taking out my egr valve the other day and the 2 bolts under neath the valve was so tight i managed to round one of the bolts of and i need it removed to finish the job.

How much will it cost to take to a garage roughly??

Any pointers to help my to remove this bolt??

Not had to do this my self so not sure of the positioning of the bolts.. But used to work on the spanners first point of call for me would be try to hammer next size down socket onto bolt head.. If that fails would file a flat on the top and bottom and try to remove with set of vice grips.... Last chance for me would be to grind head off bolt remove egr and wind rest of bolt out with a stud extractor.. Hope this helps.

Your profile says you have the 120. On my 120 the bolts are allen bolts.

If it's stands proud of the face I'd mole grip it.
Otherwise soak it in WD40 overnight then hammer the next size up allen key in and mole grip that.
Or, as suggested, drill or dremmel the head off.

Plus Gas (FAR better than WD40) and lots of it - and then Irwin bolt removers..

You can tap them to the outside of the allen bolts an dthey will bite into the metal - be off in seconds

You can also knock Torx sockets into the damaged hole as that can sometimes give a better grip and remove it.
