    Default DIY Paint Job Qestion

Painted my front grill with black gloss spray paint. There are little mist marks on the paint which is preventing it from being really flat.

Can I rub it down with wet and dry to flatten it but not take any of the shine away for when I put the laquer coat on as I don't want to give it anymore coats of paint.

If so, what grit and should I do it wet or dry?

    Thanks.

Will the 1200 be ok with regards to not dulling the paint?

It will make it dull down a bit but the lacquer will brighten it back up

Soak the wet and dry before you use it too. Maybe worth adding a little car shampoo as a lube in the water.
