    Default Front suspension spring noise

    Hiya
I had a snapped front suspension spring replaced last month, but the new one is really noisy, it seems to pick up every bump in the road. I'm hoping someone will tell me its going to get better with time or that there is something quick & easy I can do to make it quieter, but if thats not the case I'd aprreciate any advise you can give me.
    Thanks in advance

Is there a plastic spring insulator on the bottom coil?

thats the prob then- they take the twang out of the vx suspensin set up. only about 3quid for the pair from vx and you'll find them on here somewhere if you search for spring sleeves or spring insulators.
After some research I fitted mine without needing to disassemble the whole strut etc. fiddly but quicker and cheaper than taking everything out and putting it back.

the garage probably threw away the old sleeve or you may have lost it when the spring broke.

Brilliant, thanks for that. I still have the broken spring in the boot, just checked the box and the sleeve is in there so I'm thinking my mechanic must have removed it or just not noticed it was in the box when he replaced it, either way i'll get it on there and fingers crossed I'll be able to drive without the stereo at top whack.
Thanks again, really appreciate your advise
