    Question powered boot lid

    hi can any one help
just bought a 07 Signum, and when i touch the catch on the bootlid, i can hear a motor spin into life but nothing else happens

i am guessing that it should assist the boot opening but it doesnt. any idea what i should be looking at?

The motor you can hear is the lock mechanism, nothing more.

    Same on the Vectra C.

The powered boot option was only available on the Vectra estate (got it on mine), as said by others what you're hearing is the lock motor, nothing else.

My vectra has it, you sure only an option on the estates? What exactly is the need for it, wouldnt a normal catch do without a motor in it?

The powered boot lid (opens and closes via a motorised drive from the remote control and drivers button panel) is only available for the Vectra Estate. If you have that working on a hatchback, there are a LOT of people on here who would tear your arm off to know how.

You will of course have the motorised locks, all Vectras and Signums do. Thats not a powered boot lid
