Default Aftermarket HU not holding settings

I've fitted in a JVC HU and used a ISO adapter to get the correct wiring. I've also taken a switched 12v feed from the cigarette lighters black wire. Everything works as I would expect except that the stereo doesn't hold it's settings. This is what I would expect to see if a permanent live wasn't in place. Am I right in thinking it should be as easy as swapping the red and yellow 12v feeds in the stereos loom? The ISO adaptor I brought suggests this might be the case.

PS the only reason I haven't already tried this is laziness.

Cheers for the swift response, I'll give it a whirl during lunch at work tomorrow.

    All sorted.

I had swapped the perm live and ignition live wires when i was first fitting the stereo and hadn't swapped them back after taking the ignition live feed from the the cigarette lighter socket.
