    Default Paypal - Frustration!

    Recently i have decided i wanted to start using paypal, I set up a paypal account set it to business and of we go, Transactions start....

    4 days into using paypal i logged on to see my account was limited.

    I have jsut spend 1 hour on the phone to paypal asking them why this is, I have provided endless information to them to lift these limitations, During this period, i have had several transaction go through paypal leaving my paypal balance up above £1000.00

    Paypal have Restricted me on paypal completly, I am pretty much banned, I have NEVER used it in my life untill now.

    They are refusing to give me the information as to why they have done such a thing due to "internal security" They wont tell me anything what so ever as to why!

    I am so frustrated right now, The money in paypal is not usable, Im not able to refund, withdraw, request anything! I simple cannot do anything....

    They are holding the money for 180 days! Though the items were sent tracked, and have been signed for!

    I am "high risk" and they refuse to give me any reason as to why.

    So frustrated! Pretty much just destroyed a plan i was working on over the past month to start selling via ebay/paypal.

    Got to love these big online companies some times.

    Does any one know as to why they are refusing to supply me with information? They terminated to call in the end (and no i didnt get arsy)

    Never had a business account,but, iirc, (and it's been a while) new accounts are restricted for a while. I think you have to validate them confirm bank and phone numbers, they do make you jump through a few hoops. Imagine it's worse for vusiness users. Odd they won't tell you why?

    I have supplied ....

    Phone number, bank statement (faxed) the deposits into account, everything they asked for has been supplied.

    They simply wont tell me for "internal security"

    On the phone they have said this is permanent and NOTHING i can do about it. Im sat here fuming at them, All i want to know is Why.

    They even had the cheek to tell me to try using Google checkout or even amazon instead!

    How does closing your account "make every effort to minimise any disruption to your business"?... tools!

    They are bad enough for private users, must be hellish for business users like yourself.

    Can you not use another online payment method, maybe your bank has some sort of product to take payments online?

    I could use google checkout, however the issue comes with the funds that are sat in paypal.

    over 1k and i cannot do the following due to this "issues"

    Without paypal too, i cant use Ebay. Which is a Joke.

    Maybe a solicitor needs to be involved?
    When I opened my Paypal account, they deducted two small amounts from my account, which I had to verify and report. I am not sure if it is the same for business accounts.

    I am also wondering if you have stepped on someones else toes as a businesss and they have filed a false report??

    deposits done..... Twice (2 different accounts)

    re on some ones toes, Ive not even advertised yet on ebay/websites! Everything sold upto now is word or mouth/old customers.

    Though that would be enough to 100% lock a paypal account.
