can someone tell me for the 1.9cdti 150bhp please as well
My 150 cdti charges at 14.2 v on a 12v car anything over 12 is chargeing to some degree but would think 13 is on it's way out or has an earth prob .
There's tons of threads on this on here I fitted a new 1 to mine 2 days ago as mine was chargeing at 11.3v

A good alternator should be pumping out 14.4v, this will drop slightly under load of lights, power steering etc.
test the voltage at about 1000 rpm and not tick over.
The only way to be sure of the condition is to have it load tested, which is normally done on a bench.
Generally you should be seeing between 13.8v and 14.4v - anything below 13.8v and I'd get it checked out.
