    Default Slight Radiator Leak

Central heating, not the car! Fitted a new radiator in my hall as per my thread a few weeks ago. Finally got around to it this morning. I've used new tails etc on the valves and put thread tape around the thread etc, however I have a very slight leak, 1 drip every other minute or so. Everything is as tight as I can get it but it's still not right. Any suggestions?

Have another go with the joints. When you put the PTFE tape on, did you wrap it so that it wouldnt unscrew the tape off when you tightened the nut? Plumbers put about a fot of tape on.

Otherwise, I would suggest you putting on new olives and trying again?

I'll give it a blast. I only put a couple turns of tape on so maybe thats the problem then, Didnt think it needed much. Cheers

Also hold with one set of stilsons whilst tightening the nut, then you can feel how much weight you are putting on to nip it up.

Already done that. Unfortunately its an 8mm inlet and outlet pipe so they bend very easily. Had to make sure I had a good grip of them
