Brake sensor problem?

Been having the 'brake pad' wear indictor appear intermittantly on the dash but it goes out when ignition goes off then on again. Also new brake pads were fitted before i got car--they are like new as i have already checked. Also cannot see any bare wires or anything out of place---have even checked the plug. Could it be a faulty sensor or something else. Have looked/searched on here but no mention of this sensor. Any help appreciated guys.

It's common for the wires to break inside them mate, replacements are less than a tenner. Alternativly you can cut out the sensor and joint the wires
