    Default The modding of Susan

Hi everyone. this is the progress of my 1.8 vvt exclusiv. Bought just after xmas from a rather decent chap that i used to work with, who at the time worked for a dealer, who i later discovered was a member here. Thanks Chris!

her she is in her dealer photos:

    and inside

and what she looks like now:

    and inside:

im really chuffed with how she looks.

Since i got her i have added fitted blinds to the back (mainly for the baby, but also coz it looks mean!), flyeye for the rear lights, carbon vinyl on the chrome strips outside, and on certain bits in the cockpit. Ive also added flat wipers, and fluffy dice!

Since i took these pics, ive debadged her. and i plan to colour code the rear chrome strip and the front V.

    Whats your thoughts?

Very nice, the carbon wrap looks really nice inside i am tempted to do something similar in the future, just not sure how it would go with misty grey.

cheers guys. if you could see the reg number you would understand why she is called susan.

im loving the carbon wrap. i plan to do the inside door plastic bits too. give it a bash, worse case is you just take it off.

Looks smart, same kind of things I've done to mine, was it easy to wrap the chrome bits under windows? Did u remove them or do them on car??

I wrapped them on the car, and it was really easy to wrap the chrome strips. easier than wrapping internal components. I used the kit that came with the flyeye stuff to apply it. Basically a credit card and scalpel. i cut the wrap to bigger than the strip, then used the CC to mark/score where it met the car. then used the scalpel to cut it. it takes a bit of time, and the 1st time i tried it, it was a mess. but its pretty easy.

I'm liking the carbon-fibre effect strip on the dash mate - it is easy to fit? It looks great from a distance on the pic, but what does it look like around the corners and edges etc (ie, does it ripple etc)?
