    Default 1.9 cam belt

i know there has been many posts on this and i have read quite a few but there isnt one with definitive info on it.

my car is on 57k and i think it makes sense to arrange for this to be done. i am fairly competent with diy etc but as this is such and important part of the car i think i will leave it to the pros.

i have a mechanic mate of my dads who can do anything but what i am after is an actual price people have paid, including the water pump as i want that done too.

so what have people paid for this, parts and fitting please to get some idea of what i should be expecting to pay.

one option is to use a vauxhall dealer, assuming the price isnt too bad!

so it seems vauxhall is £249 but that doesnt mention the water pump so i assume is belt only

Get a genuine GM water pump about £45 on Fleabay - fitting it isn't a big deal once the cambelt has been removed so wouldn't be that much more to the total cost.

As above. Fitting the waterpump will add 5 minutes to the job so it's stupid not to do it together. You can see when I did it how quick it was...
