    Default Rear seat cup holders.

    As above is it possable to reto-fit them into my seat or do i need to buy seat base with them allready fitted. Thanks for any info.

    Yeah, they can be retro-fitted.

    I might be wrong, but think there is a how2 on this one.

    Yes I have retrofitted them. Very easy, you just need a large knife, like a carving or bread knife, to remove the foam from inside the seat. I never added the insert as this is sort of moulded in but the holders fit and work just fine.

    Thanks for the link.Just a couple of questions, what holds the holder in place if the original set-up has the housing moulded to the seat?. When cutting out the foam do you mean cutting out the whole depth of the holder (is the foam that deep) or just the front part?. Sorry for the questions just wanting to do it right without have to buy another seat base, any hints or tips i would be very greatful.

    Foam is full thickness all the way across.

    OE kit has a sleeve which I think is bonded to the foam and the cupholder assembly clips into that.

    I'd be inclined to give it a go. I know it sound scary to butcher your seat base, but if it doesn't work, you can simply stick the old bit of foam back in place, put the cover back on, and no-one would ever know!
