    Default faulty map sensor

This is Not related to my Gsi but a friends Citroen c3. Could a faulty map sensor cause the car to go into limp mode?

Right then. I have just acquired a snap on ethos diagnostic reader and these are the two faults that have shown up after changing the map sensor.
P0609 sensor power circuit and P0108 maps circuit.
THese faults showed back up but since giving it a blast up the dual carriage way The management light has stayed off although I expect it to come back on tomorrow.
ANy tips would be grateful before Citroen rip my buddy off.

    For P0108 http://www.obd-codes.com/p0108.

This vid from You Tube shows a simple way of testing the MAP. You don't need a vacuum gauge, just suck on a length of pipe.

Check the connections and try to tighten up the pins in the connector. What engine is in it?
