Default Air vent mounted sat nav

After constant battles with the suction mount on my garmin failing and the sat nav falling off the window i decided to mount it in the centre air vent. So out came the dremel and after about 30 mins i ended up with this, not too bad need to make a few adjustments to make it perfect but im pretty happy with the result

Looks very smart. But would not a Brodit mount be easier? That's what I use.

Just turn the fan up to number 4 and the force of the air pops it out.

    Very nice
I would do this myself but it would probably just get stolen, so i'll keep my sat nav in the house :P

Garmin suction mounts are poor mine fell off 5-6 times yesterday.

    Thumbs up

Although I like to use my air vents, that's a very cool mod.

Well I drove around La , San diego and Vegas in april and in that heat mine never fell off once. I think the art is to put a bit of spit on the sucker and it seals realy well.
