I don't think it would be a good idea, I think the clue is in the name.

The reason they won't suggest it. Is theirs risk of large carbon pieces braking up and entering combustion chamber.

However I've sprayed it in my inlet of my v6 Cdti 120k on clock with no dramas

Thing is deisels do not have a carburetor as far as I know, and to the best of my knowledge it is used to clear carbon from the carburetor. I really don't thinkit will do any harm, but I don't think it would do much good either.

I'll have a look for something different but failing that its going in. The cars running like a bag of nails. I've bonded up the three swirl pots and serviced the EGR wich was jammed but now moving freely. I gave it a run this morning with no difference. It feels like the engine is trying to shake itself free from the car when its first turned on and theres loads and loads of white smoke. hope this cleaner trick does something or i'm going to have to bite the bullet and take it to a garage.
