not strictly true, building regs state that it must be an energy efficient boiler, plenty of combis meet this

I was sure that from April last year they had to be condensing boilers ? when I last looked it was all that Worcester were selling.

Maybe I got my wires crossed LOL

Have you looked at this one? This is the one I got and it is absolutely superb mate.

Comes with the flue kit but same price as yours £753 delivered. Just another one to add to the equation

Be interesting as the do a price match guarantee. Find it cheaper elsewhere and they will knock more off?

Recommend The Gas Man to fit it for you too bud if you want a good job. Top bloke.

No it has to be a condensing system by law and also energy rating A or B too. Be careful people saying otherwise...

it looks like I'm too late

Guys there is a government scheme on the go at the moment which will reep saving of 50% over or more.

We had a new boiler fitted last month.........a Baxi 133HE Plus........the list price is £1893 we got it through the scheme for £740 all in, the total fitted was £1000.

The above mentioned boiler is big the maximum input is 45kw which is about 155,000btu's

When you google "Magic Boiler" as in the link: -

    http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en...UK%7CcountryGB

Go to the 5th item down it's a PDF file and open it there are prices there for various makes and types, thetelephone number for the Magic Boiler is 01289 766882.

    Bryan

PS it appears that plumbers and the gevernment are keeping this quiet with the result that plumbers are able make out they are giving the customer a fabulous deal when infact they have simply bought it through the above scheme and added on £500 or £600 or more, I have a quote sitting in front of me for £3065.......this is definately what they have done.......grrrrrrr.

well i have to say i've just been getting quotes for a combi boiler to be fitted and the boilers i've been recommended are Worcester Bosch greenstar and Glowworm cxi range only, all the others i have been told to steer clear of.
baxi are supposed to be a bit behind the times.
This is the result from 8 quotes off people all corgi of course.

    being fitted next thurs.
I chose a worchester 30 by the way.
