    Default Boiler Advice

    All,

Any corgi lads on here??? Looking for recommendations on a new combi boiler. Seem to be getting the Worcester bosch greenstar ones recommended alot.

Just wondered what's been fitted and recommended, and where to get decent prices.

    Cheers,

    Paul.

I got Worchester fitted in Feb...great little boiler, Quiet and hot hot hot (just like the wife;>).

Would recommend a condensing one...saves a little on the gas bill.

Here in the UK now you can only fit condensing boilers If anyone tries to sell you one that isn't tell them to do one and/or report them to CORGI.

the worcester greenstar HE's are very good condensing combi's, but you will pay a fortune for them. we fit the Ideal Isar and Glowworm CXi boilers (about 20/ day) and are very happy with them although glowworm have informed us of a manufacturing fault to the CXi's so we are in the process of replacing these parts on all boilers fittted in the last year. personally i would steer clear of Vaillant, Ravenheat, any B&Q jobbies, stick to the well known british makes, Ideal, Baxi, Potterton, Glowworm, Worcester. all have very good backup service.

We upgraded to a Worcester 35CDI when we had our extension 3 years ago and never had a problem with it. Works fine and pleased with it.

id reccommend a potterton promax , or a baxi 105 he , ive installed hundreds of them and had no call backs what so ever . i would stay away from the ideal isars as they do have problems mate.
