I have my car remapped by myself and really feels good.
The tooling involved are: WinOLS Demo and Ultraedit and Matlab and an DSP board (or any equivalent eeprom programmer)
WinOLS for finding the map, Ultraedit for edit the mod, Matlab for calculation, DSP board is for programming the eeprom in ECU.
What I did (in case you are interested):
Switch off EGR in ECM and blank the EGR valve.
Change the torque limiter (TL) to allow 360 NM between 2000-3000 RPM. This is equivalent to stock 150ps.
Change the driver wish according to the TL
Change the torque to injection quantity (IQ) conversion map to allow 400 NM input
Change the IQ limiter by RPM and by temperature. To ensure the torque are not limited until 90 degrees.
Change the rail pressure for better timing. (SOI is stock to avoid damage)
Calculate the expected MAF and AFR by using rail pressure map, boost pressure map, IQ map and TL map.
Optimised the Lambda map (Smoke limiter map) according to expected MAF and AFR to avoid this map from limiting the IQ, and to minimise the smoke.
Get the car logged today, drives good, smooth and can feel much powerful, have a friend following me, reported with no smoke. The instant MPG rised about 4-8 for a known road. Will report real MPG increase.
Will use a can-bus flasher later, because it's really a hell to take ECM off (i only loose the upper bolt ECM plastic bracket and take it off by applying force...).
