Question I think Putin has a point you know...

Just sat eating my breakfast and Syria is on the headlines AGAIN. Up comes a video of that Syrian/British Fella who (much respect to him) I presume has gone out there to publicise the violence in the country.

Yet again I am forced to listen to him shouting 'Where is the UN? Where is America? Why don't you stop this? What are you going to do about this?'...

And it made me think... you know maybe Putin is right. We look at his Veto from the angle that he has a warm water military base there... but what if now that he is part of the UN he is making a point. The West aren't there to sort the world out!

Iraq... Afghanistan... Libya... we are called upon to help every time and
then looked at as Western Islamic Slayers as soon as the times look good for them. Oh how easy it is to bite the hand that comes to feed you

I say screw them all! The question should be 'where is the Arab League? Where are my neighbours?' I think it is about time the Arab States stop sitting back and waiting for the West to deal with their problems and do the work themselves

So... maybe Putin is right? He seems to be a very switched on bloke although under negative press right now he has dramatically changed Russia and their relations towards the West. All I know is I've had enough of us spending millions of pounds of our taxes to 'save' lost states which think we are ****holes anyway.

I agree that it shouldn't be down to the West to sort the world's issues out.

    I don't trust Putin though.

I agree, however, we do seem to like to mess about in other peoples countries, then wonder why we are targetted for terroism.

Note to America, UN etc, let them sort their own squabbles out and dont supply arms to anyone, no matter how friendly they appear to be or what OIL they promise you.

Didn't we sell them a shed load of oil from the Falklands recently? That was blatently a strategic move

Looks like Argentina might be making a move on the Falklands? Otherwise why are they kicking off about us sending a warship down there?

the usa and uk are only interested inhelping nations that they can pillage in the process. these countries pay for the privelage of being invaded with anything the saviours can steal or buy cheap to make it look fair and then when there is nothing left worth having they'll plan an exit strategy and say how the place is much better because they are now trading freely with the west.

if the UN/USA/UK were the heroes that they pretend to be they'd be helping in syria already...... or mayber they are just scared of syrias big friend who doesn't say much but won't allow it to be over run.

I don't see us benefitting much from Iraq and Afghan lol..? But then if the UN played the hero in Syria you could say exactly the same thing and turn it around and say they were pillaged...

Look at Iraq... Hell yeah we had to go in and tackle Saddam! Everyone was up for it as they were sick of him saying how he was going to blow us up every morning live on Sky News... As soon as no weapons were found everyone jumped on the 'Blame Tony Blair' bandwagon like a bunch of fanny's and the subject is treated like some sort of huge mistake!

Man with possibility of having weapons saying he kills you = fight or risk being an easy target...

This isn't the Empire... no-one has been pillaged or invaded for resources for a while. I don't care what the media bandwagon says We were right to go into Iraq as it was a direct threat to us... Afghan's too complicated to be right or wrong as you could say pakistan was the secret breeding ground all along... should of left Libya the same as we should leave Syria. There are loads of neighbouring states with weapons as advanced as the West's that can deal with their neighbour themselves
