Can't answer your question, but the best tuning boxes are from dtuk, especially for the 1.9 cdti

    Rob,
If you are going to run a box on a V6 CDTI then don't go for the cheapest you can find, I had a DTUK green box on mine and it was brilliant, it didn't break anything but then again, I didn't try and break any drag records.
Some boxes are just a resistor that tricks the HP pump into pumping through more fuel, something the V6 is quite touchy about and then the gearbox is only rated to 300lb ft of torque and the standard is 295lb ft.
The boxes can be very good additions, I used mine for when I was doing 1500 miles per week and at that I saved loads of money.
On the flip side, a box can be very costly (HP fuel pump, gearbox, DMF/clutch).

Lee thanks for that. Mines an auto so not sure what the gearbox is rated too.

Go for a good remap, have a look for the EDS one, Regal or MPG do it, I think MPG is cheaper but it is further for you but would be a good run to compare pre and post map performance.
Boxes trick you into thinking you have better economy because the fuel comp is incorrect, I did tests with mine on and off and it did make quite a saving for me.
A decent remap will see the same power as a box (about 220 - 230bhp) but the added benefit is that the power will be limited in low gears/speeds and when the engine is cold as in the normal map.
The EDS remap increases DPF regens to cope with the extra black smoke that is produced and also changes the parameters that are required to start a regen.
