    Default MAS Performance remap DONE!

I've been running a DTUK Green box on my car for a month or so now and alhough I got more performance the car chucked out a bit of smoke and I was never really sure about tricking the car into giving it more fuel, especially as I cover nearly 60k a year.

I had my last car remapped by Ben at Mas perfomance and was sold on with 192k on the clock, mostly done while remapped so I figured I'd email to find out figures and decided it would be well worth the money again.

On my first dyno run Ben kept the DTUK box on at my request just to see what it was running with it on. It came out at a respectable 173.9Bhp and 382.3 Nm of torque, that was with the dial at about half 11 ish.

The next run was the standard car with the box removed. Mine was running well at 152.9Bhp and 332.4 Nm. I was pretty pleased with that TBH for standard.

Ben downloaded his file onto my car and with a few tweeks here and there the final result is...187.9 BHP and 414.9 Nm.

I'm well chuffed with the results and the car drives so well now. I thought it drove well with the box on but this is so much smoother and pulls like hell.

I'll post the graphs up when I've got them on photobucket for anyone interested.

    Cant recommend this remap enough.

MAS did my 08 SRI CDTI and cost me £230 ... very reasonable and I had exactly the same results as above with increase of around 8mpg too.

Need to the the new XP2 booked in soon for the same treatment!

Just a word of caution regards increased mpg. If you rely on the car trip computer it will give a very favourable mpg after the remap because fuel rail pressure has been increased. The injector pulse remains the same or less but more flow per pulse.
When standard on our car at around 55mpg on a run and brimming the tank again the real mpg was calculated around 51mpg.
With greatly increased fuel pressure the trip could give an optomistic figure by 20% but on less tuned cars perhaps closer to 10%.
For accurate checks. Brim the car on a level surface. Reset the computer read outs drive the car until the warning light comes on. Brim the car again and convert litres to gallons ie divide litres by 4.54. Log the trip miles and divide by gallons. You now have an accurate mpg you can compare with the trip computer figure.

    • You said it smoked with the box, how does it seem with the map?
    • Whats the contact details for this remapping wizard please?
    • May I ask about costs???
