1.9 CDTi Twin Exhaust...

It was something I've wanted to do for a while, and when Scotty put his old 2.2 Direct twin exhaust setup for sale on here I couldn't pass up the opportunity...

I've also picked up a VXR diffuser which is waiting on being painted, but when VX quoted me 108 squid for it I told them where to go and got some paint of my own...

In the mean time I've fitted the new exhaust, and it doesn't look too bad if you ask me... It needs some new hangers welded onto it but it'll do as it is for now and has enough support with the two boxes and the front end supported.

Piece of cake to do as long as you can get the exhuast to seperate; took me a couple of hours in total on a ramp at 2 in the morning after work on moday, and that included cutting out a hole in the standard bumper insert...

Has the CDTI got the hangers for the second back box already there, or some way of holding them? Looks greate mate, i picked up a twin exit tail splitter for £30, had to grab it for that price, so it's gonna wait in my shed until i buy a twin exhaust set up now!

all hatch /saloons have the hangers in place , you just need the rubbers

Good work penfold, I'm also on the look out for a second hand system myself. Even though this is a standard vauxhall exhaust, would you still need to notify your insurance, as it isn't a sports exhaust of any sort ???
