    Default facelift: removing the wheel switches? airbag 1st?

    Hi guys, just so i dont end up with an airbag to the mush, can i remove the scroll wheel/button switches on the steering wheel without removing he airbag 1st?

    Its just a torx on the rear huh?

    yes mate... however I changed steering wheels the other day on our vec, it took me about 15 minutes start to finish using the How2 on here, its a very easy job, honest.

    Very easy mate.

    One Torx for each set of controls. Feel round the back of the wheel to find both holes that are directly opposite the controls. Once the two screws are taken out don't be afraid to put a small amount of force to edge them out.

    Do the cables come from behind the airbag as I have an energy model that didn't have steering controls, I took the blank covers off and there was no cables to connect the controls to. If I do what is the best way to access these cables?
