    Default How quickly should the eml go out?

    The eml has been on for months because of my EGR blanking plate. How soon after I remove the plate should the light go out?

    Battery off.... or wait for the x (can't remember how many it is) number of times it takes to clear it itself.

    Is it on with the engine running? If so, there there is a live fault, not a stored fault code.
