    Default K&N or not????

    do I get a K&N panel filter or just stick to the VX one, is there really that much difference between them.....

    You wont get any extra power mate TBH, all I noticed from mine was a slightly better response.

    Pipercross are way better IMO, but yeah, what Rushy said too.
    If anything I lost power with a K&N, but that was an induction kit, not a panel *shrugs*

    only benefit is you can wash it and it lasts, unlike VX where you replace them every service. They do not add power or live up to any other such claims!

    A short time ago I did a rolling road run with the K+N filter. I then fitted a brand new standard cardboard filter. The difference was 2 bhp in favour of the K+N.
    I think the standard item would clog earlier so may need replaced in between service intervals. With the K+N you can clean it so in time pressumably you save money.
