can a v6 cdti be remapped?

I think it can but most on here wont recommend. Something to do with the fuel pump i think.

The y30dt is a bit more tolerable to tuning than the z30dt but if you fubar the high pressure fuel pump your talking possibly over a grand to sort it.

i had a 3.0 v6 on a 04 plate and had it remapped twice, 1st by a firm in birmingham ,i wont name and he made a right ass of it, then went local to me and had it done again, 202 bhp and 450 lbs of torque, went like hot snot....

There's a couple of members who have rapped 3.0 V6cdti without issue and can give you the definitive answer on what can and can't be done but from what I've read, the gear box on the v6 CDTI is close to its max torque as standard.

I would think the remap in the aboved link is not properly done (may due to improper turbo spike). A nice remap should be of a linear and smooth power curve.
