Default Front Anti roll bar bracket question?

    Afternoon all,

    [IMG][/IMG]

Not sure if you can see from the picture, but the bracket holding the ARB bush in place has loosened slightly. I had to tighten it back down there around Sept 2011, and again there today.

Just wonder if there could be an underlying problem i haven't thought of here.

Perhaps do i need to change the bushes out??

    Any advice would be great.

    Thanks in advance.
    Ade

Are the threads on the bolt ok?

They shouldn't be coming un done but at same time I think their only tightend to around 10nm

Might be an idea to change the bushes since their only a couple of quid each and then put a small dab of thread lock on

Sound advice there - most bolts come with some form of threadlock from the factory, so on low torque fixtures like that (subject to oodles of vibration) I would imagine they could work loose. I have ordered some new bushes (Thought I'd try privet for a change ) so will have to see if my bolts are loose.

Given the s*****y access you have to the bolts though, if you threadlock them they'll be near impossible to remove next time.

Small dab shouldn't make that much of a difference.

And should get the out easy enough with 10mm ratchet spanner

Very true - if you see how much is used from factory, the little dob you need is nothing (but should stop you unwinding like you've overdosed on your evening Ovaltine
