Default Headlight mods - facelift Vec

Has anyone with a facelift Vec opened their headlights & sprayed the inside black, or is the only way to buy some SRi ones?

Not done it myself fella but i would seriously advise sri black ones, this takes me back to the days when the lads used to put tights over their lights for same effect and would come out terrible, youll regret spraying them if you do go that route, not to mention attention from plod, you know what their like.

    I think you misunderstand.

SRI headlights don't have tinted black lenses, it's the inside part that is black around each light unit. On the Elite, this part is a chrome silver colour.

I'm suggesting separating the lens from the lamp & spraying the lights surrounds inside.

No shenanigans with my wife's tights

    I'm keeping well away!

Our son was born last April & 6 months later we had the news that a little brother or sister will join us this June

We had planned a sibling but that was quick work!

I tried taking a facelift on apart a few years ago - it was sealed together very well indeed, and as long as you don't have AFL and xenons on the car the SRi headlights are the easiest and best looking way forward. they aren't too expensive and are always on eBay.

On the plus side, I did get to find out how the innards of the AFl headlights worked...

If it only sealant which is holding them togeather then a short time on a low temp in the oven and a very sharp knive would do the trick. this is the trick for Mundano's
