Dare I say it but I think the Ford Kuga is one of the nicest soft roaders I've seen,.. along with the Kia Sportage. Hate the Nissan, and the VX looks a bit out-dated
If you're not bothered about fuel economy have a look at the Nissan Murano. Same 3.5 V6 engine they put in the 350Z. Because of the low mpg & cost of the tax disc you can buy them relatively cheap! My Dad has one & we're both quite impressed with it.
Only a small thing, but the Kuga doesnt have a foot rest. May not sound like much of an insure, but I thought it was a PITA.
What exactly (other then the height) are you wanting out of the car?
I agree,.. footrest is a must,.. the MGZT didn't have one either .. very poor
What about a Kia Sportage? They are looking very good at the moment. There is also A Chevrolet something or other? I would be very surprised if the Vauxhall one isnt a re-badged/shared vehicle?
Have you looked at the Zafira? the mother-in-law is disabled and has one on motability. The seats seem to be the perfect height to aid easy access.
