Why both ends? Most people just blank off at the EGR as it's easy to get at. You will have to live with the warning light (fault code P0400 I think), but the car will drive fine - no limp mode as long as you leave the EGR plugged in as normal. If this bothers you, I believe you can get the ECU remapped to turn it off, but of course you will have to pay someone with the know-how to do it.

Oh I see! I don't see why you can't blank at the exhaust manifold, but I've never heard of it being done.

Sound like you are talking about the exhaust gas recirculation cooler. Is it made of stainless steel with a diamond shaped flange that fits to the exhaust manifold. The pipe has convoluted bends at both ends of the pipe and a water jacket in between, the other end fits to the egr valve. You have to buy the whole cooler set up from Vauxhall as you cant buy the ends separately. Cost is over £110 if I remember correctly. So you may want to visit a local breakers yard if you just need the bend at the manifold joint.

Or you just blank it and put up with the EML!
I agree with Rapala though, if it's the just the convoluted pipes, the breakers is your best bet. You may also need a gasket for the exhaust manifold end (also diamond shaped with a hole through the centre & 2 bolt holes) and a gasket for the connection to the EGR heat exchanger (circular), which fits within the toroidal hose clamp.

I don't think this helps if the leak is in the convoluted pipe section between the exhaust manifold and the EGR heat exchanger though - it sounds like stj needs to replace the damaged pipe or completely blank upstream of the leak.
Breakers still sounds the cheapest to me if you don't want to put up with the EML from blanking entirely.
