    Default delay in the wheels moving

    hi all can anyone help i have a delay in the wheels turning in first gear . the engine revs it sounds like im wheel spinning but the wheels dont move and then all of a sudden the bite . has anyone had this or know what it is . i have had my clutch and flywheel done about 6 months ago and it was fine upto now . please help i cant afford another £400 bill

    Sounds like the clutch is slipping to me? Maybe something is sticking, like the release bearing or the clutch lever arm? Check to see if the return spring is ok.

    Agreed, I had this about 5% and reported to the VX dealership I use

    They were unable to recreate on three visits and on three services
    The issue was eventually traced to the DMF and what you have described was the final symptom which happened almost every day over a week, the clutch finally failed

    they should last longer than 11 months surely. for the clutch and slave cylinder and and the dmf is only 4 months old . i only done 8ooo mile on the clutch and less the 3000 on the dmf . should there be warranty on the parts failing this quick . they where both luk parts

    Was false economy to do 1 with out the other as they will have added to the wear on each other

    i know that after i had to do the dmf. but the garage said the flywheel was fine when i had my clutch done.
