    Default No0b Victim Of Snow

Well... I picked up my 07 plate 1.9 CDti on 12:30 Saturday.

and thanks to the snow, by 4:30 i'd had my first bump.

I'd moved to avoid someone else skidding on the road and ended up skidding myself and mounting a high kerb.....

The damage is the centre of my bumper, the under panel has cracked across rather than down (toward the engine) but also some damage on the frontmost radiator.... a dent maybe 1/2" deep... It hasn't cracked but dented....

The thing is I woke up on Sunday to find oil on our driveway....

Now.... the optimist in me is saying that when they had done the oil change, some had spilt over into the belly-pan and the snow melting has flushed it out.

But.... the pessimist in me thinks the damage done to the radiator has caused further damage behind...

Gutted cant quite explain how I feel :-\

I'll upload some photos when I can....

That's a possibility but the sump casing sits on the undertray so if you've gone with a bump probably worth checking it for cracks. Wouldn't risk driving it until you know too.

Is it an auto? If so, the fluid is cooled using the radiator and it could be this that is leaking.

With the way the oil filter is on the derv, you might have released some previously spilt oil from the undertray - it hadn't been serviced before collection???

Sorry to hear the bad news. I remember the day I bought the Siggy I got 3 miles down the motorway and got a stone thrown into my windscreen.... nice big chip on day one lol... just typical! Hope it doesn't end up being too costly to repair.
