    confused Bit of a dilemma

Hi guys, I'm coming back to Vauxhall soon

Right it's a tough choice but unsure what to do, I want another Vectra VXR and got my eye on one a minter was a members on here an 09 plate silver lightning with only 20k on the clock.

Then I came a across a white insignia Sri 160 with 45k on the clock with 20" wheels and vxline kit for £1000 more.

Really stuck between them both as I know if I buy one or the other I would be saying to myself a should had went for the other etc....

I've drove the insigna Sri diesel before and really liked it plus a bonus with the newer model to the Vectra, also I've missed my Vectra VXR since I got rid and want another and there's a mint one at my door step.

Really stuck on this one, any insignia owners is there anything I need to know about them as I know the faults on the VXRs

What kinds of faults does the VXRs have? Didn't know there were any unless it has been remapped.

vxr all day long, unless you do big miles and fuel cost is an issue it has to be the vxr, and that is coming from a diesel nut

Coil packs fail, clutch slip when mapped, other than that brilliant cars.

I don't do many miles at all tbh the car sits at home all week as I have my works van to use

Depends if you want a fast older sporty car or a sensible more classy looking car.

The Vectra is showing it's age now.

If it's just for weekends and fun definitely the VXR. I drive an Insignia 160 CDTi at work. No offense intended to any owners but these are seriously dull cars to drive. The novelty of the nice interior wears off very quickly. Although relatively pokey my 2.2 non-direct is an equal match performance wise. Even with a map it will not be as exciting as a 2.8T.

That's a good point, i got rid of my Vectra Sri xp2 cdti as I wanted a petrol turbo car again, the insignia is stunning but don't know if I'd be fed up with the derv again, here it's here http://www.gumtree.com/p/cars-vans-m...de-20/95840619

Very different beasts.. if running costs are an issue in any way then the Insignia wins, otherwise the VXR every day of the week

Who you trying to kid, whatever you buy will be sold after a few months..

Seriously, its a tough decision. I would err towards the insig as i agree with Lee the vectra is now showing its age and nicely pimped insigs are few and far between, keep this until the insig is at sensible cash and the trade for that..less likely to lose alot of cash on the derv..
