    Default low profile tyres

    hi my vectra has low profile tyres fitted by who ever owned it before me can someone tell me if the tyre pressures would be the same as normal tyres as recommended in the handbook

    If there's an entry in your handbook/Haynes for your combination of engine, body style, tyre size and running weight.... go with it ..... if not I'd go for the closest to it from those they offer.

    Ive got 215/35 19 tyres and I put nearly 40psi in front ones and 35 psi in rears.

    A good rule of thumb is take the wheel size multiple by 2 and add 2. ie; 17inch, multiple by 2(34) and add 2 = 36

    tyre pressure will be the same regardless of the tyre profile as the weight of the car is what decides the tyre pressure- not the tyre size- hence having to increase tyre pressure when fully loading the car.
