Awlrite Folks just finished my 1st ever signature on saturday and i aint no pro let me tell you just mucked about with Windows paint and it has the basics to get you going,including resizing and cutting images,as long as you keep signature size under 400x75 pixels it is easier than you think after a little tinkering!
