Post How to install Alpine 113BT with Mic?

    Hello everyone!

Looking at fitting my alpine hu and mic but not sure whether to use auto leads (pc99-x45) or connects2 (CTSVX001). Also wheres the best place to fit the mic and how to remove relevant panels?

Hope someone can help cause my VDO/CDR 2005 Siemens don't read most discs anymore

    Thanks for reading.

Cant help with the adapter but if you go onto the relevant sites they will be listed for your car, just make sure you get ISO connections. You'll have to take an ignition live from the cigi lighter and possibly swap the yellow and red power wires around but that should be it.

Re the Mic, thread it behind the dash and up the a pillar. To get it off just pull out the square plastic bit at the top.

Then push the wire under the roof lining and mount it here.

Or do what a few of us have done now and mount the microphone in the same place Vauxhall mount the factory one, up in the panel next to the windscreen infront of the interior lights that the alarm sensors are in (you'll see the middle has small slots in it, that's where the mic goes behind).

Thats what I was trying to post Ian but Tapatalk kept crashing. I got to "Then push the wire under the roof lining and mount it here" and it wont upload the next pic.

or better still as Ian said behind this little grill as the factory item would be fitted.

Thanks everyone for your input. Looking at doing it the factory way but how do I route the wire back to the back of the HU? Looks impossible, wish it was wireless!

Hope one of you can shed sum light

Easiest way is to take the glove box out, although with mine I went the other way and went through the clocks.

Will have a go on friday but after looking behind the plastic grill, I don't know how its possible to thread it through, as the wire is so bendy. Also I assume that I go from the centre through the roof, down the passenger A-bar, behind the glove box? Gonna be a right mission, don't suppose anyone can give me some more tips?
