    Hi,
Not sure whether the solenoid is the same, but as you have the 120 (previous post) then the solenoid, if not moving freely, may be able to be salvaged by drilling a small hole through the back of the electrical connector and punching the press-fit barrel out. It's really very easy; drill, punch, clean, refit! For a better description of what to do, find the How 2 on cleaning the EGR.
I did mine about 4 years ago and no trouble since.
    Good luck.

Have you checked the vacuum hoses? The two small rubber hoses that run from the vacuum unit at the near right (as you stand at the front of the car looking in at the engine bay) to the solid pipes that sit at the front of the camshaft cover are prone to splitting, particularly at the elbow connections.

If the solenoid is working ok and the EGR valve moves freely (free of crud and can be moved with your thumb from the end where the solenoid contacts) then I can't see the EGR being the problem.
Easy checks are removing your throttle housing and checking the condition of your inlet manifold and throttle housing butterfly valve - 7mm hex on the large inlet hose, 3 bolts to remove the throttle body (new gasket required if you're being picky!).
Also, boost sensor which sits in the inlet manifold can get clogged up,. Can be removed with the one retaining bolt, but may need to loosen the EGR from it's mounts first.
    Any other symptoms?

    Take a look here...

"The Wizard" explains how to check the solenoid - basically you need a 12V DC power supply and some wire.
