Thumbs up Review: Muc-Off Übershine Luxury Shampoo

So after my disappointment with being sent the wrong snowfoam lance and being completely out of car shampoo I decided to go and get some yesterday. I have used Muc Off Bicycle cleaner/degreaser in the past on both my Mountain Bike and for wheel arches of my car and been very impressed with it so was very keen to try some more of their products. Now I know that Screwfix stock Muc Off products so a quick look online show a 1lt bottle for £6.99 or a 500ml bottle for £4.99. Halfords also stock the 1lt bottle for £11.99.

    Description:

Muc-Off übershine is an advanced new car shampoo, which loosens and emulsifies even the toughest dirt and road grime without compromising wax protection. Übershine has a rich pH balanced foaming action, which is gentle on all painted finishes as well as rubber, vinyl and plastic components. The integral engineered water softeners help to reduce deposits in hard water, leaving behind a spot-free, deep luxurious shine.

    Instructions:

Shake bottle vigorously to activate formula. Ensure bodywork is cool before preceding. Pull the cap upwards and squeeze the desired amount of ubershine (we recommend 1 level measure per bucket depending on size of vehicle) in to 4 lt of ideal warm water and mix. Now pre wet teh vehicle with a hose and wash the vehicle with a contaminate free sponge or for best results use a Mucoff Microfibre Wash Mitt. Rinse vehicle thoroughly with a mild flow of water.

    Product:

Nice thick bright pink emulsion with a lovely Apple smell.

    Weapons of Choice:

Tall Bucket(approx 20tl cap), Grit Gaurd and Tesco Wash Mitt.

    Product Added:

As im using a 20lt bucket I added approximately 4 marks(1 mark per 4lt water) worth of shampoo added to approximately 15lt of hot water added then hose used to foam up product. This produced a nice thick, tight, creamy emulsion.

    Usage:

Lovely creaming feel that glides the wash mitt perfectly over the paint work with plenty of suds clinging on the paintwork after the mitt has past.

Pictures after the whole car washed.

Also to note longevity of the suds in the bucket. A lot of Shampoos tend to loose their suds as teh bucket drops, no sign of that here.

These last 2 pictures are after the wheels and tyres were washed.

    Overall Impressions:

Very good product producing plenty of suds and lasting from the start to the end. Judging by the marks on the side I will get around 8 washes from the 1lt bottle. Thats around 90p a wash, and good value imo. A smaller bucket would obviously increase the value of this product.

    Recommend:

    Without a doubt.

Quick Final picture of the beading on the roof. Last coating of AG HD Wax was the middle of October, so as usual I can not fault this product after nearly 5 months.
